Community pantry

The Salvation Army Pantry program recovers fresh produce and other donated food from local grocery stores and redistributes it to those in need. Some of the food supports our Soup Kitchen, while the majority is available through the Pantry for individuals and families to supplement their food hampers. People can visit once per day to select fresh food items, and any food that cannot be used is donated to local farmers for their animals.

This program not only ensures access to nutritious food but also diverts hundreds of thousands of pounds of food from landfills each year.
