Community food support
The Salvation Army Community Food Bank is the only authorized food bank serving the Chilliwack area and is a proud member of Food Banks B.C. as well as an affiliated member of the Canadian Association of Food Banks. For more than 25 years, the Food Bank has been a vital source of support for individuals and families facing unemployment or underemployment.
Each month, over 3,800 people are assisted through The Salvation Army’s Food Bank, Soup Kitchen, and Shelter programs, with nearly 30% of those served being children under the age of 18. Without the generosity and compassion of our community, many of these families would face food insecurity. For more information, watch our YouTube video on what we do!
