Spreading Christmas Cheer in Chilliwack – One Hamper at a Time

For over 35 years, The Chilliwack Salvation Army and Chilliwack Community Services have partnered to bring holiday joy to local families through our annual Christmas Hamper program. The Salvation Army provides festive food for Christmas morning breakfast, lunch, and a traditional dinner with all the trimmings, while Chilliwack Community Services ensures children receive toys and gifts to brighten their season.
Together, we’re bringing hope and happiness to families in need—and this year, we aim to support over 2,400 families in our community!

Register for Your Christmas Hamper at Christmas Central

The Salvation Army Care & Share Centre

Registration Dates:
Monday, November 17 – Friday, December 12
Hours:
Monday to Friday: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM & 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Saturdays (Nov 22, Nov 29, Dec 6): 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Eligibility: Open to Chilliwack residents in need this holiday season.

What to Bring:
– Government-issued photo ID (e.g., BC Driver’s License or BC ID Card)
– One piece of ID for each household member, including children (e.g., Care Card)
– Proof of Chilliwack residency (e.g., utility bill, credit card statement)

Hamper Pick-Up Information
Please note: Food and gift hampers will be available for pick-up on different dates and at separate locations. You must bring your ID and the pick-up slips provided during registration.

How You Can Help – Make a Donation
Food Donations:
Support the Salvation Army’s Christmas Food Hampers with a monetary donation. Every contribution helps us provide a warm and festive meal to families in need. The cost of the hampers range from $150 – $350 depending on the family size.
You can donate in person at our Care and Share Centre, (45746 Yale Road), by phone at 604 792 0001 or at our website.

Drop off unwrapped toys, gift cards, or cash donations at:

Sponsor a Toy Hamper:
Join the CCS Christmas Sharing Toy Hamper Sponsorship Program. You’ll be matched with a child and receive their age, gender, and a small wish list to guide your gift purchases. Sponsorships are open to individuals, families, organizations, and businesses.
