Shelter Worker (Casual)

Under the direction of the Shelter Operations Manager, the Shelter Worker  is responsible for the intake/discharge, communication, observation and monitoring of clients and routine duties of the shelter. The Shelter Worker may liaise with the Shelters Case Workers to carry out a variety of duties related to supporting clients while at the emergency shelter. This position is team oriented. Community Case Worker

Under the direction of the Shelter Operations Manager, the Shelter Worker  is responsible for the case management of clients in our shelter. The Case worker supports, advocates for and refers clients/families in helping empower them to become more self-sufficient, and help them re-integrate into the greater community. They are involved in intake services, client assessment, emergency assistance, ongoing case management and/or other forms of direct service for clients applicable to their case plan and development.
