Shelter Worker (Casual)

Under the direction of the Shelter Operations Manager, the Shelter Worker  is responsible for the intake/discharge, communication, observation and monitoring of clients and routine duties of the shelter. The Shelter Worker may liaise with the Shelters Case Workers to carry out a variety of duties related to supporting clients while at the emergency shelter. This position is team oriented. Position could lead to full-time position.

Shelter Worker (Graveyard)

Under the direction of the Shelter Operations Manager, the Shelter Worker  is responsible for the intake/discharge, communication, observation and monitoring of clients and routine duties of the shelter. The Shelter Worker may liaise with the Shelters Case Workers to carry out a variety of duties related to supporting clients while at the emergency shelter.

 

Weekend Shelter Custodian

Performs a variety of cleaning duties to ensure the cleanliness of the facilities including attention to toilets and bathing rooms, walls, floors, sinks, kitchen area(s), trash containers and windows through methods such as sweeping, vacuuming, washing, mopping, disinfecting and  waxing.

Shelter Housekeeper

The incumbent assures that the bedrooms, living rooms, and kitchenette are safe, comfortable, and healthy environment to live in. Duties include sort, launder and fold bedding, towels, rugs, and other laundry.

HOURS:

  • Full Time Work 8.5 hours per day (includes 2-15 minute paid breaks, l/2 hour unpaid lunch) paid for 8.0 hours per day 40 hours per week.
