The Plant A Row For Us program is about asking the community to plant fresh produce in their gardens to donate to The Chilliwack Salvation Army’s free grocery store, known as “The Pantry”. The Pantry provides fresh fruits and veggies, dairy, deli, baked goods, frozen and more to over 3000 low income households per month. But as demand increases, we are consistently running out of food on a day to day basis. The Plant A Row For Us program is designed to make sure that, with the help of the community, that never happens again. Our Goal is to bring in 100,000 lbs of produce from the community in the next year.

Good afternoon, I would love to participate in the event, but my father is scheduled for surgery in vancouver that day.
How can I still be apart of this program?

Wonderful! I am very interested. However… I plan to be on an aeroplane that afternoon to go to a funeral in Montreal. Would there be a video recording afterward which I could watch? Your fellow servant, Jackie

I would like to attend Thursdays April 13 Plant a Row for us meeting. I have been involved in Gardening for 30 ish years, from working retail (Minter Garden), to Gardener at Base Chilliwack to owning my own business. I have a certificate in Horticulture and took IPM training.

I will be attending with my daughter. Can’t wait to help out. I apparently have 10 green thumbs, as my neighbours got well fed last year from our bounty. Especially with my cucumbers!
