Support us through Santa Shuffle!
Every year, Santa Shuffle brings passionate individuals from across the country to support vulnerable Canadians and the work of The Salvation Army. This year will be no exception. We are excited to bring everyone together for a meaningful fun run/walk every year in early December.
Stay tuned for information for this year’s run! Registration and contest information will be announced soon!
We thank you for all your continued support and look forward to connecting with all our Santa Shufflers this year.

Food bank donations
Donations to the Food Bank are gladly accepted at any time. Non-perishable food items may be dropped off directly at the Care & Share Centre at 45746 Yale Road or at donation bins in any participating grocery store in Chilliwack. These stores include: Superstore, Save-on-Foods, Safeway and Marketplace IGA. Also check out BC Sharing coupons that come in $2 denominations and can be purchased at all of these local grocery stores.
Businesses and groups are also encouraged to run Food Drives of their own. We provide support and donation bins for your drive. Please contact us by phone at 604 792-0001 or by email if you are interested in running your own Food Drive on behalf of the Chilliwack Community Food Bank. Hungry families will thank you!
Plant a row for us
The Plant a Row For Us program is back here at The Chilliwack Salvation Army Foodbank.
The Plant a Row For Us program aims to provide those in need with fresh produce! By planting an extra row of fruit or vegetables in your garden and donating the crop to The Salvation Army Chilliwack’s free grocery store, known as The Pantry, you will be helping ensure families in our community always have access to a nutritious meal.
The Pantry provides fresh fruits and veggies, dairy, deli, baked good, frozen meat and more to over 3000 low income households per month. But as the need keeps increasing, we are consistently running out of food on a day to day basis. The Plant A Row For Us program is designed to make sure that never happens again.
Our goal is to bring in 100,000lbs of produce from the community this year. To remain updated online, head over to our Facebook group and hear from other program participants.

Preferred produce
While we will accept and use any produce grown, the most useful to us are those that can be stored for longer periods of time. Carrots, Onions, Potatoes, Parsnips, Turnips, Rutabagas, Beets. We can also use the following:
Brussel sprouts, Beans, Corn, Cucumbers, Melons, Sweet Peppers, Squash, Tomatoes, Lettuce, Celery, Radishes and Pumpkins.
Preparation:
Please ensure all produce is cleaned and washed before brining it to our Care and Share Centre. This will make things so much easier on our staff and volunteers who will receive it and put it into the Pantry.
Drop off:
Produce can be dropped off Mondays or Tuesdays between 9:30 AM and 4:00 PM at our Care and Share Centre at 45746 Yale Road, Chilliwack. Please go to the very back of the property to our Food Warehouse and there will be someone there to help you unload (there will also be signs.)
If you need a different drop off time please give us a call at 604 792 0001 so we can make sure someone is here for you.

Share a bit of BC goodness
Each time you visit your local Chilliwack grocery store you have the opportunity to support The Chilliwack Food Bank by purchasing one of these BC Shares coupons. Your $2 donation helps the Chilliwack Food Bank purchase fresh fruit, vegetables and other products from local grocery stores.
When you purchase a BC Shares Coupon, the funds go directly into an account with our name on it. When we are low on supplies, we will go to our local stores and use these funds to directly purchase food. This is a great way to support your local food bank on a weekly basis.
For only $2 you can make a difference! Stop by any grocery store in town today and make your contribution.
